Super Mario Movie (2005)
Super Mario Movie is a 15(ish) minute movie I made with Paper Rad programmed onto a Mario Brothers cartridge. Check below for the ROM, a gif, source code, a scan of the cartridge, and a video. Ps - here are pictures from its debut.

Click here to download the ROM. Below is the source code for the ROM, along with an archive of the source code's progress as Paper Rad and I were working on the project. Also in these archives are bits of script (which we had been working on sporadically for a few years) and other loose ends. At this point it is all pretty unorganized though I can confirm the Jan 16th version does compile into a ROM which of course it the version Paper Rad and I have shown(!). For the NES heads out there, this code might be of interest because it contains a very simple built from scratch music sequencer, a rudimentary animation engine, and an RLE scheme to compress backgrounds. To compile this code you will need nasasm and nbasic.
